Clomid

Clomid is an ovulatory stimulant usually prescribed for the treatment of female infertility. It works to significantly increase the chance of pregnancy by increasing the production of eggs during ovulation. Clomid is recommended for use in women who have normal estrogen and pituitary gland levels, however may have lower than average or irregular egg reproduction. Clomid may also be used to boost the production of multiple eggs for use in combination with assisted reproduction technologies such as in vitro fertilization or gamete intra-fallopian transfer (GIFT). Generic Clomid may also be used to as a clomiphene challenge test which is often used to test the ovulation and egg quality in women in the case of ovarian reserve. Clomid is not effective in partners where the male is diagnosed as infertile
